Immersive technologies are revolutionizing the media business. The media industry transition is in full swing: Digital entertainment, culture and even advertising are changing. Everything is more interactive, more mobile, more social and more everything now. No wonder, that media content creators and other creative workers are asking, how to keep up with these radical developments? What knowledge and skills do they require?
You will find answers at this year’s Transmedia Day, an interdisciplinary conference taking place in Munich for the 4th time on February 26, 2015. This years focus will be on the creative processes necessary to design innovative, contemporary media offerings. Questions answered will be for example:
- How can authors, journalists, filmmakers, gamers, musicians, artists, programmers, designers and community managers work together successfully?
- How can the audience be involved at an early stage, too, and maintain their enthusiasm for a project
International Best Practice examples will point out new paths and future-oriented revenue models for the local media industry. The topic of virtual reality – particularly Oculus Rift – will be an important focus!
